I’m running for philanthropy chair for my sorority, and I need some really great ideas to make my campaign more appealing. So far I came up with "AOPi Palooza", which is an outdoor music festival featuring local and student bands. My sorority name is Alpha Omicron Pi, AOPi, Alpha O, etc. if you want to play on the name…it’s not necessary though. Any ideas are much appreciated! Thanks!

I’m not sure if you are looking for a project or the festival is your project. If you are looking for a project that is fun & truly beneficial to the recipients, take a look at The Shoebox Project. We recycle shoeboxes, decorate them with fabric & wallpaper paste, then fill them with basic toiletries, school supplies, & small games, books & toys. We then distribute them through local agencies where the need is great. Most go to kids & teens in foster care & to those who have sought shelter from domestic violence & are in a women;s shelter. With the economy going so bad, the domestic violence numbers are skyrocketing. Some of these kids come into care without pajamas, undies or even toothbrushes.The URL is below, so hope my site gives you inspiration.
